Can my clients help decorate a Rose Parade float? 

Unfortunately, we are not offering our Hands-On Float Decorating Experience this year due to the strict health and safety restrictions. We hope to bring this back for the 2023 Rose Parade. 

Where are the Rose Parade seats located?

Our seats are located at 1350 East Colorado Blvd. in Area Three of the parade route. For more information, go to the Rose Parade Seating page.  

 

Can you get tickets for the Rose Bowl game for my clients?  

We do not facilitate getting tickets for the game.  We recommend that guests who are interested in going to the Rose Bowl secure their own tickets through a reputable ticket broker such as www.stubhub.com.  In the past, tickets have generally been around $200 and up.  Prices always vary depending on which teams are playing.  Tickets are usually not available until the teams have been decided in early December.

 

What is the dress code for the New Year’s Eve party? 

The dress code is semi-formal. 

What are check-in and check-out at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa? 

Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am at the Hilton Orange County/Costa Mesa. 

What can our guests do if they arrive early?

There is plenty of dining options available at the hotel and within walking distance, for them to grab a bite to eat. The hotel does offer a complimentary shuttle to and from South Coast Plaza shopping center for those who are looking to pick up any last-minute items. The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Balboa Island in Newport Beach are a short UBER or LIFT ride if they are looking to take in an attraction before the welcome dinner. 

What time do the coaches depart the hotel on January 1 to go to the Rose Parade?  

The breakfast buffet begins at 5:00 am and the coaches depart the hotel at 6:30 am.

 

Are airport transfers included if my clients add pre or post nights? 

No, but if your client plans to fly into SNA airport the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to and from the hotel. We can provide airport transfers for groups or individuals at an additional cost. 

 

What do you recommend for gratuities?

We feel that gratuities should be a personal expression of satisfaction and gratitude.  If your travelers are happy with the service they receive, we recommend $5 per person, per day for the coach driver, and $7 per person, per day for tour directors. Because they may not be on the same coach with the same tour director and driver each day, we recommend tipping daily at the end of each day.

 

Do you offer a special rate for children?  

We welcome guests of all ages and many have found this tour to be a wonderful experience for multi-generations.  We do not specifically offer a children’s rate, but we do offer savings for triple and quad occupancy.

What if it rains at the parade? 

The parade will go on rain or shine. Please note that umbrellas are not allowed in the grandstands, but we will provide rain ponchos if necessary. 

What time should my client's flights arrive and depart?  

Flights should arrive into SNA, LGB or LAX, no later than 4:00 pm on December 29, 2021, to ensure that your clients are at the hotel in time to enjoy the Welcome Dinner that evening.  Flights can depart at any time on January 2 or 3.  For early morning flights requiring a departure from the hotel before 6:00 am, guests will be given a boxed breakfast to-go in lieu of the breakfast buffet which doesn’t begin until 6:00 am.

 

Is this tour handicap accessible? 

Yes, it is! We can request a handicap room for your clients. We also have wheelchair seating at the parade as well as wheelchair rentals at the hotel. The wheelchair rentals are $25 per day or $80 for the entire week. It is a first-come, first-serve reservation for all wheelchairs. If your guest needs to have a wheelchair lift bus, please let us know ahead of time so we can make arrangements.
